The Swing
Jean-Honoré Fragonard(1732-1806) is a French painter of the Rococo period. This period was before the French Revolution and during the reign of Louis XVI. The work of the Rococo is slightly suggestive(note man pointing up her skirt), ornate, lush, intricate in detail, soft pastels, and of the Aristocratic class. Though only in France, and short lived, the Rococo period contained many beautiful works.
